RochesterCrime.org is a free searching tool to view local crime data for Rochester, MN. This website is not an official source of crime information for Rochester, it is only an alternative view of this information constructed from publically available crime reports. This website is aimed at helping you:

Where Do You Get This Stuff?
The crime information we are presenting on this website come from two sources. The main source is obtained from the Rochester Police Department Records area, where publically available record information can be retrieved. This gives us the most detailed information. A second source we utilize is a website run by the Rochester Police Department called Cop Talk Live. This website publishes a "Crime Alert" daily which gives information on what has happened around the city for the previous day. Any gaps or information we did not obtain via the RPD Records Department we can fill in with information from Cop Talk Live.
The data displayed on this site may also be incomplete (without proper address, any address, time of day). This is a limitation of what is available to us currently, and we try our best to clean up any errors we may find before it is loaded into our system. This information cannot be regarded as completely accurate, nor is there any guarantee of such accuracy. We only provide a graphical approximation of crime information based on what is publically available to use.
Every effort is made to keep this website updated as frequently as possible. Currently it is still labor intensive to get this information, work is in progress to automat the whole information collection routine. If the information you desire is not available yet, sorry! Hopefully it will be soon. :-)
Who Are You Anyway?
This site was designed, developed and is maintained by Josh Pankratz, a Rochester-based Analyst/Programmer with a background in data warehousing, data analysis, and research.
RochesterCrime.org was developed as a personal project, and with the help and feedback of some local police officers and local residents it has developed into a useful, fully functional crime prevention and informational tool.

Privacy policy
We will not keep any personally identifying information (name, address, search criteria) linked to you on this website. We only collect statistics on what what type of usage this website gets for reporting purposes.
